Thank you Lars at Marin Cycleworks!
I recently lost one of my passenger peg spaces to my high-mount exhaust (I let my gf screw it on before I took her for a ride ) and called up Marin Cycleworks to see if they had a replacement for me. I spoke to Lars over the phone and he said that they probably didn't have anything like that in stock, but that I should come in anyway since he could take a look at some of the service manager's spare parts. I told him that I'd be by after work. I showed up with my buddy Eric about 15 minutes before they were closing. I showed Lars the part and he said he'd see what he could do. He dissapeared for about 15 minutes, in which time he dug through a ton of parts buckets in the parts area and came back with a great temporary solution - a new bolt, nut, and a few metal spacers put together. He then proceeded to look through his books and get me both the phone number and the website for M4 and when I offered to pay him, he declined. As we were leaving, Eric was telling me how absolutely shocked he was at how nice/helpful he was, especially as compared to the people he's dealt with at some other shops. I definitely agreed - it was unlike any other dealership I'd ever been to.
Thanks again, Lars, for taking the time to help me out and dig through a ton of parts - and then expecting no personal gain from it. It's really refreshing to see people be so nice and helpful, especially now a days.
BTW: The other girl working up at parts was very cool as well (and cute!). Didn't catch her name, but didn't want to leave her out as she definitely had a cool, up-beat personality even as we were hanging out at her store right before she should be closing up.
